Blame the Media

Crooks and Liars has this great piece on CNN with Lara Logan. While not as good, Peter Dau and John Mcintyre discuss the same topic.

Bill Maher discussed religion and torture Friday.

  • I tried watching that CNN piece with Logan, but her stunning good looks kept distracting me. That's the problem with today's media, too many good looking correspondents!

    She did an excellent job.

Bill Maher had the Time magazine chief in Iraq on his show. He was pretty good as well.

Over the past week, I've come to the conclusion that things in Iraq are actually worse than it appears in the US media.

  • I have to agree with you - as one of my friends recently said "she makes me want to visit Iraq."

But I agree. Ever since the 'blame the media' campaign started I've assumed that it is getting worse. The Admin. and the hand maidens to power haven't been very convincing at all.

  • I did some research on her. After spending a few hours on her swimsuit photos, I looked into some of her other qualifications, including her career outside of the modeling business. Like her looks, her skills as a journalist have gotten better over time. She has spent a fair amount of time in war zones and, according to my own imagination, topless beaches.

Fine looking female television correspondents are very distracting - not that there's anything wrong with that.
