I Hate Being Vulger

... but fer fuks sake! Keyes Says Christ Would Not Vote for Obama
According to a list of quotes put out by the Democratic candidate, Keyes said in a radio interview at the Republican National Convention that Jesus would not vote for Obama. The quote was part of a list Obama sent reporters of Keyes' accusations and epithets about him since Keyes became a candidate, NBC5 political editor Dick Kay said.

Kay also reported that Keyes called Obama a "socialist and a liar" on a cable access news show on Monday. Obama said he wants to win big to give Keyes a spanking because Keyes wages a scorched earth campaign. Keyes then went into a very long analysis of the word "spanking" and suggested it might be related to slavery and insulting to African- Americans. He would not answer when asked directly if he was insulted.

At least columnist Eric Zorn writes
The word is jarring. Though Keyes was in the U.S. Foreign Service and served as a UN ambassador and assistant secretary of state, it's hard to imagine anyone calling him a diplomat.

A diplomat, dictionaries tell us, is one who uses "tact and sensitivity in dealing with others," who has "skill in handling affairs without arousing hostility," and is "dexterous [and] artful" in dealing with sensitive matters.

Even the biggest fans of Keyes' conservative philosophies would have a hard time arguing that the candidate has exhibited these qualities since his entry into the race against Democrat Barack Obama last month.

He has been artlessly candid in his proclamations, lunging hungrily at every bit of rhetorical chum that journalists have cast upon the waters and arousing hostility virtually every time he sees a microphone.
